Maps And Diagrams is the moniker of Tim Diagram (UK)
Tim Diagram finds it hard to talk about his own creative processes. But where words might fail him, music certainly never has. With a tendency to avoid compositional systems and pigeonholes, Diagram follows his instinct right from start, letting the personality of the project find itself and lead the way. Since his debut on Pause_2 in 2001 under the moniker Maps and Diagrams, Diagram, also known as Tim Martin, has featured in many incarnations, been released on many labels and has appeared on John Peel’s iconic radio show. But music isn’t the only outlet for Tim Diagram, his photography has been shown globally as part of the CityLab art collective, he curated the Citygenetic project, dabbles in audio visual comms and runs the Handstitched record label.
