Fletcher Mcdermott is 25 and from Long Island, New York. He makes music which generally ends up with an ambient/electroacoustic sound, but  has no rules about that in his writing. He is more about the process, rather than needing the final product to sound like a particular genre. His latest release on Unknown Tone Records is entitled, “memoirs: to dust”. Mixed at home by Fletcher McDermott and mastered by the brilliant Taylor Deupree at 12k, a boutique mastering studio just north of New York, this is a don’t miss release of imagination, melancholy, and staggering beauty. This meditation on memory, decay, and sound images reminds us that the most beautiful light is beautiful precisely because of reflective surfaces: dust, clouds, the mind. I recommend that you download in FLAC for the full audio experience.
